(Our Own Correspondent.) A. general meeting of the Blackball Minors’ Union -was held in the Aliners’ Hall lam Sunday. Mr Richard • elson (vlce-presicfent) occupied the chair. There was a la.,r attendance. Air 11. Johnson, Ruimnga. district delegate .to the Nat al Council,, gave the report of its meeting, for which he was thanked. The Ndlioual Secretary, Mr A. MeLagan, then address ed the mee-’ing. explaining, the balance sheet of the National Council, which was endorsed He outlined the activities of the National body,, including wha-i' had been done in the way of closer organisation; also outlining the eonneet.i'on 'between this country and Australia, lie wa s heartily applauded for his informative address. Mr Thos. Walker, of Ruuanga (secretary to the Grey District Council), also spoke, making an impression, and he received a hearty -welcome 1o the township. At the close of the meeting, the visitors were the guests of Mr" and Mrs R. Duggan, Main Road, 'at lunch, after which they met the members of the Blackball District Miners’ Union.
