King, and the secretary. I. E. Dale, for the year ending March 31, 19.16, which was read and aoptcdl- was as follows: — “We have pleasure in presenting the eighth annual report of the Runanga Sdb-Braneh of iflie Plunket Society for the year ending 31st March. 1936. This year, two appeals were made to the, publics both of yvhich met with good suppont. The. first of tliese was a house to house collection which we intend to l>e an annual affair. The second was the baby photogiaphic competition This proved a huge sum cess, and we take this oppontuuiiy o. thanking all those who. on the various committees. worked so hard in this connection. During the year we were sorry to lose the services of Nurse Rawlings-, and we trust that she is fully’ restored to health AVe extend a hearty, welcome to Nurse turner, whose valued assistance whilst among us was greatly appreciated*.’ We also heartily welcome Nurse Robinson,, who is now serving our district, aud out thank* are due to her for her efficient help. As shown in the nurse’s report, the room# are as popular us ever. AVe. again desb-q ho|ivever, to appeal to all mothers to help us by' becoming members’’ of by giving a small donation. It is with'sincere regret that our president, owing to continued in health., finds it necessary 40 tender her resignation. Her sympathy, howevci, is with the society, for which she wishes every success in the future. Our thanks arc due 'Io our most Joyal committee, to our auditor (Miss Richmond). to the picture committee, to all members, and to all those who have always so willingly helped us.’ Nurse Robinson’s report for 1936 was read as follows and adopted:--“No. of visits I'o sub-branch 49; No. of balncs under supervision 32; No. of older children 19; No. of new cases 21; visits to homes, new 32, old 251,. total 283. Visits paid to rooms, adults 512. babies 450; older ch.hlien 114. The general health of the babies has been good, and all are thriving well.
