WORK TO DO
And Idle Men GOVERNMENT’S ATTITUDE WELLINGTON, May 8. "The Government is well seized of the importance of University education and sees no real reason for education to be retarded by any lack of facilities,” said the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Hon. Mr. Mason, in giving the capping address at the annual graduation ceremony at Victoria University College to-night. Referring to the requirements in buildings and playing areas, the Minister said that the Government saw no virtue in leaving that undone while men were available to do it. That was the way it appeared to the present Government. Where there was work to be done, and there were unemployed men to do it, it should not be beyond the wit of man to do it.
