Three months have elapsed since lhe Christchurch Health Camp Art Union closed, and still no authentic claim has been received lot the fit st prize, an oil painting, which could be exchanged for a motor-ear. Now the law steps in, and. under the conditions of the permit, the prize is to be dealt with at the discretion of the Minister of Internal Affairs. Dickson was struck by a bicycle while walking along Gt. North Boad. the accident occurring after 8 o’clock at night. He was taken to the hospital in a critical condition. WELLINGTON, May 7. The offer regarding wages made by the shipping companies to the. Wellington Waterside Workers’ Union, and considered at yesterday’s stop work meeting, was accepted, subject to the approval of the Now Zealand Federation. The terms were not disclosed.
