Opera House “LOOK UP AND LAUGH’’ The name of Gracic Fields at. the head of a cast is a guarantee of a treat. Filmgocrs would be well advised not to miss the Lancashine comedienne's latest merry comedy “Look Up and Laugh” which comes to the Opera Mouse to-day and Saturday. It is Gracic at the top of her form. All remember how they screamed at her previous pictures: “Sally in Our Alley,” ‘‘Looking on the Bright Side,” “This Week of Grace.” “Love, Life and Laughter,” and “Sing as wc Go.” Those efforts pale into insignificance alongside this uproarious comedy. (Marie's pictures abound in catchy music and “Look Up and Laugh” is no exception. There are several other excellent numbers destined to become real hits. One is “Love is Everywhere,” and another riotous number “J’m Annie from Anna Capriza.” The other essential ingredient of a Grade film is laughter. “Look Up and Laugh” is brilliant musical comedy entertainment that's sheer delight. Aiding Gracic in her joy-spreading is a wondeiful comedy team headed by Harry Tate, Douglas Wakefield, Billy Nelson, Vivien Leigh and Tommy Fields. Regent Theatre To-day will see the last screening's of the present popular double feature programme—Tom Walls, Ralph Lynn and Robertson Hare in “Stormy Weather,’J and Anne Shirley, O. P. lleggie and Helen Westley in “Chasing Yesterday.” Both of these features have been very popular for their season. SATURDAY--“CALL OF THE WILD” This screen play is an adaptation of Jack London's story of love and treachery during the Yukon gold rush and the colour of those feverish times has been transferred to the screen and is portrayed by a cast headed by Clark Gable. Loretta Young and Jack Oakie. Alaskan pioneers from as far north as the Arctic Circle came to take part in the picture, while Frank Conroy, Reginald Owen, Sidney Toler and Katherine do Mille carry prominent roles. The film introduces a new dog star in the role of “Buck”, perhaps the bestknown canine hero in fiction. “Buck” is an 18 mouths old St. Bernard. The location company included only ten actors. Over 100 technicians made the 1200 mile trip to Mt. Baker. William Wellman, director, ilew 14,000 miles between Hollywood and Canada seeking location sites. AHAURA BALL. Al' the Ahaura Memorial Hall tonight, a grand ball organised by the Garth Domain Committee will be lieTcl.
