BLOMFIELD BEATS ANDERSEN. (Per Press Astsociation). AUCKLAND, September 9. A professional wrestling contest to-night between “Lofty’-’ Blomfie'd (Auckland) and Ole Anderse u (Sweden was won by the Auck'ander in the sth round when Andersen was disqualified by the referee for refusing t'o break a strangle hold when he was ordered to do so. Prior to this. Blomfield had. secured a fall in the third round by means of a slam and body press, following a series of fore-arm jolts. The bout was characterised by feeling throughout. Andersen made himself unpopular by hair pulling to force his opponent to release holds. Prior to the disqualification, he was warned about the use of a strangle-hold, which he applies with either arms o: legs. McCready beats jagat. WELLINGTON, September 9. By a body press in the last round, Earl McCready beat Jagat. Singh m the wrestling bout here to-night. The match, was solid going, but was lacking in variety.
