Bar row pushing is apparently more dangerous in Britain than in Victoria or in New South Wales. Joe Dawson, aged 75, has just begun what' is his third attempt to cover a distance of 240 miles to Blackpool for a wager of fifty pounds sterling. On his first attempt he was mistaken for an escaped convict and was dc-t'ained. On his second attempt he was averaging forty miles daily, when a car knocked him over a fence and wrecked his barrow.
