(Our Own Corrcsnondent y REEFTON, July 31. To-day has been one of the brightest da/vs of the whole of the winter here the sun being in evidence since early morning, after a night of hard frost. . The Inangahua Rugby Sub-Union have received a letter from the Murchison Club, asking for a match against the Sub-Union at Murchison this week-end.

The annual meeting of the Reefton Trotting Club was held in the Conn c’l Chambers last evening, there being twelve members present. The secretary road the notice convening the meeting. The annual report was tabled ■and t'he balance sheet, which showed the club to be in a good financial position. Both were, on the motion of Messrs F. Col'is and W. Barry, received and adopted. Officers were elected as follows: President. Mr F. W. Archer; vice-president. Mr W. J. Barrv, auditor, Mr T. H. Lee: committee Messrs v. Collis, T. G-lbrai'h N. Collins. A. Archer. J. O’Mallev. A. Paterson. Mr Palmer moved, and Mr Archer seconded, that the nui’ter of fixing a date for the adjourned meeting he ’eft in the hands of the president and treasurer—Carried. At a meeting of the commit‘ee Mr C. J. Willis wa q re-apnointed secretary, and Mr F. Co'lis treasurer. Mr George Will’s, brother-in-law of the late Mr G. R. W-lls, arrived from Murchison this afternoon, in order to be present at the fnner.nl. He was accompanied by Mrs C McDonald, of Blenheim, and Mr Arthur Wells, o, Murchison. , Mr Bert Topp, of Maimni suffered a serious interna 1 injury while tU in the bush last week, and wil’ have to cense work for some time.
