SAWMILL BURNT
IN DANNEVIRKE DISTRICT. DA RG A VILLE, .June 12. Fire early this morning destroyed the Tangowahine Sawmilling Company’s large mill at Tangowahine. It was one of the only two remaining sawmills working in the district. The mill employed twenty-seven men constantly, also a large number in the bush. The Origin of the fire is unknown. The loss is partly covered by policy with the New Zealand Insurance Company. It is the intention of the company immediately to commence the re-erection of the mill and the plant on the same site.
