BRITAIN AGREES To Full Increase Asked (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received June 12 at 9.20 p.m.) LONDON, June 12. The “Daily Herald” says: The British Government have agreed to Germany’s naval claim to a strength 35 per cent, of that of the British navy, provided that this proportion will apply, not to the total tounage, but to each type of the building programme, to be spread over a number of years, so that there shall be no advantage in new ships over old. Finally, the agreements are subject to the approval by the other naval Powers.
