LEAGUE FOOTBALL

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of the management Committee of the West Coast Rugby League was held last evening, there being present Messrs A. 11. MeKane (chairman), J. Anisy, A. C. Hall, \\. Barlow, B. Ramsay, B. Rathbun and R. J. Harrington (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs .1. Stokes and L. Hunter. The Kumara Club wrote enquiring as to the financial rules of the League. The secretary was instructed to reply. The Inangahua League wrote congratulating the West Coast team on its victory in the representative games, mid also Mr. A. C. Hall as his re-ap-pointment as South Island selector. Accounts amounting to £lB/9/6 were passed for payment. The Marist School was granted a football. 'Flie Secretary was empowered to supply information to the Rugby Union regarding a player, if they require it. The Runanga Club was granted permission to play a benefit match, Runanga juniors v. Old Timers, on a date to bo fixed by the Fixtures Committee. The Club were also granted the use of the representative jerseys. It was decided that the Borough Council be informed that their terms for the use of the Recreation Ground were acceptable to the League, but us the ground was available for only six weeks, the League was of the opinion that the expense of preparing the ground by the Council was not warranted and the League was prepared to forego the use of the ground for the present season. FIXTURES. The fixtures, postponed from last ■eek, will be played next week-eud. They are as follows: Senior: Marist v. Runanga, at DunoTie at 2.30 (A. Fielding); Blackball v. Pirates, Wingham Park at 2.30 (Stan Smith); Brunner v. Ngahere at Brunner. 2.30 (W. Allen).

Junior: Runanga v. Blackball, at Blackball, 2.30 (A. Mason); Kumara v. Pirates, at Kumara, 2.30 (I. Scott); Marist, a bye.

Third Grade: Pirates v. Brunner, at Brunner, at 1.15 p.m. (F. Bernard); Runanga v. Marist, at Wingham Park, at 1.15 p.m. (R. Taylor). Schoolboys (Saturday): Sixth Grade: Marist v. Blackball, at Blackball, at 9.30 a.m. (J. Dodds); Runanga a bye.
