THAMES. .lune 10. A decree of forfeiture was delivered by the warden, Mr. F. 11. Levien, in the Thames Warden’s Court in a suit for forfeiture brought against Sydney G. Baker by the Sylvia Mines Development. Limited, in respect of 100 acres of ground in the Tararu Creek locality. The plaintiff company was declared the first applicant for the area. The warden said the evidence showed that defendant had not worked his ground fls required by law. No .justification was to be found for the imposition of a fine in lieu of forfeiture on the grounds of what was claimed to be specie I circumstances. The Goldfields Dredging Company, Ltd., advise that the dredgemaster is not washing up this week, in view of the absence of solid ground.
