Retail prices of motor car and motor cycle tyres, with few exceptions, were increased by an average of ten per cent, a s from yesterday. No definite reason was obtained on inquiry at Wellington, but it is stated it was known that factory costs had been increasing owing to the increased price ruling for raw material, both rubber and cotton.
