It was announced to-day that the K ng’s Jubilee Shilling Fund for hospitals in New South Wales now aggregates thirty-five thousand pounds, including a I*oll thousand pounds cheque from the New South Wales Government. In answer to an enquiry to-day regarding contributions by local bo<l : es t|o the King’s Jubilee Gift Fund in aid of cancer research in New Zealand, the acting-Prime Minister, Mr Ransom, made it plain that any neve" sary legislation will be passed v.-li-(Tating all gifts to this fund made bv local bodies.
