GOOD BOUTS AT INVERCARGILL. (Per Press Association). INVERCARGILL. May 13. A good house enjoyed an excellent night’s sport this evening, when two ten-round professional boxing contests were held. W. Jack (Invercargill) Ifist. 61bs. beat L. Hood (Dunedin) lOst. 61bs. on points in a willing wel-ter-weight bout. There was a middle-weight contest between E. Jacobs (Wellington) list. 61bs. and M. O’Brien (Dunedin) 11s filbs. It was characterized by clean, ■hard hitting throughout. Jacobs won convincingly on points. This pair will fight at Invercargill,, shortly, for the professional mididle-weight championship of the Dominion.
