Tile British Broadeasting Corporation i s building at Daventrv two new short wave transmitters, using from 50 to 60 kilowatts of power, which is double the present transmitting strength. The new installation is expected effectively to reply to the German broadcasts from Essen, which are being better received in some parts of the Empire than the Daventry ones.
