NAZI PENAL CODE
THE NEWEST CRIME. (Aus. and N.Z Cabin Assn.) LONDON, May 9. The “Daily Mail’s’’ Berlin correspondent says that the new German penal code will shortly be issued. It provides for a new crime called “Treason against the people,” meaning speaking or writing abusively about the German people, their past, or customs, which is punishable by penal servitude, or even death. KIDNAPPING BY NAZIS. PRAGUE, May 9. The Government has instructed the Minister at Berlin to protest against tile kidnapping of Lampersberger (on April 29) involving a violation of Czech, territory, and to demand Lampersberger’s release, and the punishment of the kidnappers.
