SHARES OFFERED
BY THE GOVERNMENT Mortgage Corporation (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, May 9. The prospectus inviting public subscriptions of £500,000 of the share capital of the Afortgage Corporation of New Zealand was released this evening by the Acting Alinister of Finace, Air A. Hamilton. The capital of the Corporation is to be £1,000,000, in shares of £1 each, 500,000 of which are to be held by the Crown. Although the Crown actually provides half of the share capital the Alinister does not have any voting rights as a shareholder of the Corporation. The remainnig 500,000 shares are now offered at par for public subscription. The shares will carry a cumulative dividend of per cent, payable out of the profits of the Corporation.
