Tn the Northern Riding the two sitting members, Messrs J. Murdoch and B. Ward (sitting members) defeated Mr Bond, a new aspirant. In the Central Riding, the three sitting members, Messrs Chesterman, Jamieson, Dale, were re-elected unop posed. In Southern Riding, where four were required, Messrs James Donovan, J. J. McKay and W. J. Jeffries (sitting members) were re-elected, and a new” aspirant, Mr Brown; the defeated candidates were Messrs Searle (sitting member) and Kirby (new candidate). GISBORNE MAYORALTY.
