THRESHING MILL ACCIDENT. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 1. Catching his left leg in a threshing mill while feeding grass seed into the drum, William E. Bailey, aged 18, of Cheviot, had it torn off at the knee, and when admitted to hospital -was in a serious condition. Bailey is employed by his father, who is a threshing mill contractor, of Cheviot. The injured man was still conscious when the mill was stopped by the gang working with him. His condition was still serious this evening.
