ATTACK ATWH By Unknown Man (Per Press Association.) AUQKLAND, December 28. A sudden ’ and unprovoked assault was committed on a young woman, who .was 'walking in Mountain Road, near Auckland Grammar School, late on Thursday night. The victim was Miss Bona Willacy, aged IS years, who is employed at the home of Professor A. P. W. Thomas. She was struck on the face and body by an unknown man. and knocked down. The assailant fled when Miss Wil lacy screamed, and so far, he has not been traced by detectives. Miss Willacy was near the School Care taker’s house when she noticed a man approaching, and 'when he caipo near, he stopped and asked her the time. Before Miss Willacy could reply, the man struck her twice, once, on the face, and once on the body, knocking her down. She screamed for help, and the man disappeared.

Miss Willacy sought protection in a house nearby, and later she con tinned to the home of her employer. She was little the worse for her experience, although suffering from a small wound inside fhe mouth, cans ed bv being struck heayilv in the face.'
