The Golden Sandj return last week was 220 z 17dwt for 22 shifts -of eight hours each. The Worksop Extended return for last week was 9Ooz 6dwt for 137 hours and a yardage of 10.363. The Bell Hooper Cromwell Gold Ltd. return last week was 13oz lOdwt 18gr. The secretary of the Goldfields Dredging Company, Otago, la-t week rep .i ted a return fo r the fortnight ended October 19, of 20oz 16dwt for 175 hours’ dredg*ing. Roll Kilgour return for the last week was 19oz 6dwt. Paddy’s Point Coy. reports that a paddock was completed to-day for a total return of 450 z, the time taken being 7A weeks. Bn ken Hill Proprietary Ltd., has declared a half-yearlv dividend of Is ;1 share. Australian currency, payable on November 21. the same as last halfyea r. An option has been negotiated with an Australian firm for 750 acres of JOOO acres held by the Bendigo Goldlight Mining Co. The Australian concern oroposes to put on <] large dredge to work in fr m the river. The Waitahu manager reports 13oz 7dwt was recovered as a resu’t of trip ping operations. The return at the King Solomon mine last week was 61oz 16dwt.
