WEDDING

FCGARTY—GOODSON. The wedding took place at the Basilica. of the Sacred Heart. Wellington < n Wednesday of Alary Eileen, daughter of Airs C. M. Goodson, Kelbiirn and the iate Mr Good>on, to Paul, Joseph (Dr.), son of Mr and Mrs Al. J Fogarty. Greyniouth. Arum lilies decoifted the altar and massed Iceland poppies in shades of pink were ar the adar rails. Nuptial Alas s \va.- celebrated by Rev. Father A. J Cullen, S.M.. and Miss Milligan was at the organ. During the service and the signing i f the register, a choir of old gir’.s and pupils of the Sad’e Coeur Convent, Island Bay. sang and Air J. Newton Goodson rendered ‘‘Ave Maria’’ with violin obligato played by Miss Price Lewis. The bride, who was escorted by her brother. Air J. N. Goodson, wore a beautiful gown of ivory satin, made on long slim lines, with a dropped shoulder line and high lace voke, outlined with tiny pearls. Her train was formed of cascading tloiinces from the waist. Her veil of I inn-lick lace, leaf by the bridegroom’s mother, was caught to the head with ;• bandeau of pearls and she carried a, bouquet of eream roses ami mixed flowers. The four bridesmaids. Misses Myra and Alison Goodson, sisters of the bride and Misses Pat ami Joan Murphy f Dawson Falls), were dressed in pictun* frocks of shell pink (lowered orgamdie. made with little capes, the skirt having two frills falling from the waist line to the hem nt the back. The reception was held at tin* Royal Oak Hotel. where baskets of Iceland, poppies, in shades of pink, formed the decoration. Fogarty. |the bridegroom’s mother, wore a patterned frock of ecru georgette, and cape edged with navy satin. Her navy blue hat was trimmed with ecru lace. When Dr and Mrs Paul Fogarty lefjt fn r their honeymoon, the latter wore a suit of navy blue double-backed satin with nav v taffeta hat.
