RANSOM DEMANDED
FOR KIDNAPPED MISSIONARIES. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received October 19 at 10.55 p.m.) PEKING, October 18.’ A message to the British Legation here from Yunr.anfu clears up the situation regarding Mrs Hayman and the recent kidnapping of missionaries. Both she and Mrs Bosshard, with their husbands, were captured on October 1, but Mrs Hayman was subsequently released. She has arrived at Kweiyang, bringing from the bandits a demand for one hundred thousand silver dollars ransom for each of the remaining three captives.
