(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 16. I The weather report and forecast are as follows; General situation: A fairly intense anti-cyclone extends across North Tasman Sea on to New Zealand, while a moderate depression covers South Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds moderate to strong, northerly to westerly, and later backing in places to south-westerly. Seas in New Zealand waters rather rough’ south of Cape Egmont and about Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Westerly winds, moderate in the northern portion with moderate seas; fresh to strong and later backing to south-westerly in the southern portion, with rather rough seas. Weather unsettled in the districts with a westerly aspect from Taranaki southward, and in the far south, with scattered rain; elsew T here mainly fair to fine.
