(Our Own Correspondent.) The Brunner Defence Rifle Club held a general meeting in the Taylorville School lust Thursday evening, Mr T. Morgan presiding over a good attendance of members. Arrangements wore made for -the opening .-loot «;l‘ the season. • The Taylorville senior girls' basket ball team last, week played two friendly matches against Gre v M-iu Old Girls. in bth matches the home team was successful, by 8 goals to 4 and then by 6 goals to 3. Miss A Gainsford was the referee. The winners of the flag five hundred conducted |>y the Brunner Sports Club on Thursday evening in the Taylorville S/diool were: — Messrs G. Cimino, J. Harper ami E. Rowlands
