CHALLENGE SHIELD Won by Blackball After surviving one chaU-enge. Mariff seniors yesterday lost the Challenge Shield, wrested from Runanga by them only two Sundays ago. Blackball,, who were successful yesterday, will now probably defend the Shield against •h.t challenge of Reefton. The Shield game was the only senior fixture played yesterday, and there was a good attendance of spectators at Wingham Park, which was in perfect order.
