As Armistice Day is falling on a Sunday, the AGchbishop of Canterbury has sent a letter to the Bishops which says: “1 have communicated with the Government regarding the King’s wishes. It is hoped that the religious services especially refer to memories, hopes and resolves surrounding Ai’mitice Day, while they are arranged to enable the silence to be observed at 11 a.m.” The letter adds: “I am communicating with other religious communions.”
