INANGAHUA SUB-CENTRE. PROTEST AT SCOTT \s NONINCLL’SJUN. A meeting of the Inangahua Rugby League Sub-Centre was held on Tuesday evening, Mr Coxall presiding. Also present were Messrs J. McElwee i Secretary), W. Morris, A. Clark. F. Rollerson, E. Riley, (’. Chandler, B. Topp, C. Curtis and T. McKenzie (Record Secretary;. The Chairman repeated on the conference held with the West Coast Centre and also on the representative game with Canterbury. The West Coast Centre wrote stating that it \vUs their intention to apply for permission Io zji:n an art union. They also acknowledged receipt of the Sub-Centre’s affiliation fee. A motion was carried: ‘‘That this meeting express its utter disgust at the selection of only two inangahua players iu the South Island team, and • hat a protest be sent, to the New Zealand Council re same, the results of the games ‘with West Coast ami Canterbury proving the worthiness of better representation. ’ ’ .it was decided to point out. the unjustness of the treatment and urge the New Zealand Council to <?j its best to give P. Scott. Coast’s outstanding back, a trial. It was decided to. ask for permission for the Inangahua representative team to travel to Canterbury. and play Canterbury at a inter date in the season. It was further decided to protest to the Christchurch “Stan,” against the report of the luangahua-Canterbury game, which stated that it was a picnic match, as the Canterbury players were feeling the effects of Saturday’s game. It was pointed out by members that 'of the players on Sunday, eight ’"'Canterbury men wore playing on Saturday, and also eight Inangahua players, and that Canterbury did their utmost to win the match The following are the fixtures for Sunday:—Seniors: Reefton v.
