SEDDON SHIELD SCHOOLS TOURNEY. (Per Press Association.) NELSON, August 22. The Seddon Shield districts primary schools’ Rugby tournament was continued to-day in fine weather. Results of this morning’s games were:— Buller 15 (five tries) beat Nelson nil. West Coast 5 beat Golden Bay-Mot-ueka 3. Marlborough a bye. Buller has won two games. West Coast has not had a loss. The other teams have each had a loss, Golden Bay having had two losses. NELSON, August 22. The afternoon results in the Primary Schools Rugby tournament were:— Nelson 24 beat West Coast 0. Marlborough 19 beat Golden Bay- , Motueka 0. i NEW PLYMOUTH. August 22. Auckland Grammar to-day de/eated Whangarei High SC-hool at Rugby by 22 points to 5. This was the last game of an informal tournament in which New Plymouth Boys’ High School earlier defeated both the visiting teams. * KING COUNTRY—WELLINGTON DRAW. TAUMARUNUI, August 22. King Country played an inspired game to-day, to hold Wellington colts and draw with them, 23 points all. The scorers for King Country were Phillip’s. Crossman (2), Bathgate, Conway. Jordan converted three and Crossman one. For Wellington ‘tries were scored by Baldwin. Tindall. McGreevy, MCGurk. Lamason converted two and kicked a penalty, and Tindall potted a goal. COLLEGE TOURNAMENT. * CHRISTCHURCH, August 21. St. Patrick’s College (Sil verst ream) won the final game in the tourney for this school, and St. Patrick’s (Welling Ion) and St. Bede’s (Christchurch). St. Patrick’s by superior back play won by eight points (two tries, one converted) to five points (a converted \ A WAIKATO DISPUTE. As a protest against a vote of censure on the Old Boys’ Club, of which he is the senior selector, Mr H. D. Tait has resigned his position as President of the Hamilton Rugby Union. At the previous meeting, Mr S. E. v Senior, chairman of the Management Committee, resigned, on the grounds that the senior selector of the club team had priority over the senior representative selector. The Management Committee censured the Old Boys’ Club for playing junior representatives in the senior team, when a representative was wanted for play on the same day. \
