N.Z. SERVICES. GOVERNMENT’S BILL. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 21. In the House this afternoon, amend ments to the Transport Licensing (Commercial Aircraft Services) Bill were introduced by Governor-General’s message. Mr Coates said that since the Bill was introduced,' representations had been mad e to the Government, par ticularly by aero clubs. The amend ments p'rovided for the granting of automatic licenses for a period of foiu years. The position apparently was that several clubs in New Zealand had commercial machines and they were depending upon ‘the amount of ro* venue they could get by the hir e of machines’ for payment of the machines and revenue for the club. It made it possible to keep' the ground organisa lion and stall of jiilots Another poin* was in connection with passengers contracting 'themselves out of accident in ■mrance. The amendments prevented ‘.hat being done. Another amendment brought aii’carft into line with rail ways, taxis, c-abs and buses regarding Sunday traffic. At present, th e posi tion ' was not clear whether aircraft flying on Sunday was not breaking the law. The amendments cleared that up. The amendments were agreed to. ALASKAN’S SUICIDE.
