The Chairman stated that on Saturday last on going South he visited a party of men who had met with success and refunded the subsidy The men were making about £7 per man per week tn their claims. The gold won was a good sample. The men .stated several years’ work was ahead of them. The '•nemployment Board wrote for fur then particulars re sale of gold by Fox and Jolly. The Chairman reported C. A. .Tolly admitted the gold sold was his but it had been won before going on the subsidy, and he offered to pay 10 per eent.—Agreed to refer the matter to the Unempoylment Board. Robertson explained time worked on subsidy scheme. Silk and O’Leary advised that cage has been erected on Wataroa River, also that same is a great convenience t'O prospectors, and thanking ’Executive.
