PRICE OF FLOUR
REDUCED BY DISTRIBUTORS, LTD. TO MEET COMPETITION. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. August 20. A reduction •of 10s per ton in the price of flour was announced on Saturday. This was stated, to-day, by Mr R. J. Lyon, Director of Distributors. Ltd., to be the 'outcome of increased competition for the trade of the established mills. The prices had been lowered by Distributors,. Ltd., in an endeavour to retain that trade. Asked why flour prices bad not been reduced in Auckland, as they had been in other centres, Mr Lyon said that the position there was different.
