(Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, February 14. Mr L. R. Austin, who has been appointed to succeed Mr Rae as manager of the National Bank, arrived in Reefton last evening, accompanied by Mrs Air R. Poulsen, who has been the guest of Rev. and Mrs Duncan for the past two weeks, left yesterday for Hawke’s Bay. Lt was resolved that a sports meeting be held for the children in the afternoon, children from all schools in the district to | M » eligible to compole. and that visitors be entertained at afternoon tea. The Old Pupils’ Association intend holding a ball in the evening. A ladies’ committee was formed to attend to the catering. Ways’ ami means were discussed, of improving the school grounds, mid if was decided that a School Fair be held. The Old Pupils’ Association signified willingness to conduct a dance and side shows. Mesdames Pratt and ( 'ampbell were nominated to conduct fl novelty stall .u.d Mrs Day a jumble stall; the s.-hool Committee to conduct a produce stall. .Miss Be 1!
