YANGTZE FLOOD
DYKES MAY GO. (Aus. & N.Z Cable Assn.) SHANGHAI. June 17. Tim waters of the river Yangtze are two feet higher than they were at the same date in the 1931 floods. It is believed that Hankow is unlikely to be flooded, though fears are expressed for the safety of other areas. With the flood season some weeks longer to run, it is feared that the dykes built in connection with the relief works will not stand any further rise.
