Forecast: Winds strong but decreasing to southerly north of Farewell Spit -and Kaikoura; elsewhere, light to moderato and variable. Seas (N.Z, waters'): Heavy between Cape Campbell and lhi>t <'apu; rough elsewhere and north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura; elsewhere, smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate tu fresh south-east winds in the northern portion and light variable winds in the southern portion; seas smooth to moderate.
