'fhe weather report and forecast are as follows:—General situation: Pressure is still low 1" eastwards, while an intense anti-cyclone extends from Eastern Australia on to the South Island. Poreeast: Winds moderate to strong, southerly of ga’.e force at places along the East (’oast, and about Cook Strait, but decreasing gradually. Seas (N.Z waters): Rough south of East Cape and north of Fa re w( *ll Spit; elsewhere, moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate southerly winds; moderate sea. Weather: Changeable with passing showers along the East Coast north of Akaroa, and in the far north, but gradually improving; elsewhere, fair t<> fine. Cold temperatures.
