MAN FOUND DEAD. , (P- r Press Association). W INVERCARGILL, June 15. M Charles Bentham, a young man, was 1 found dead outside his hut at Malta- I roa, near Pembroke, to-day. It is ’ stated that a rifle was found lying alongside the body. f, THEFT OF £llO BY CLERK. / AUCKLAND, June 15. Three charges of stealing sums totalling £llO 10s, the property of the Henderson Town Board, were preferred in the Police Court to-day against a clerk named James Ernest Greenslade, aged 22. Accused was remanded to appear on June 21st. Bail was renewed at £lOO, but the Magistrate refused to continue the suppression of accused’s name.
