Resolved to grant Air. Blackadder an occupation license over the area in Block 111 ami 1V Lewis Survey District, known as the ‘‘Calf Paddock,’’ ami tin* open portion of the Alfred River up to Lake Daniell at an annual rental of £1(1. subject to the licenses of the Maruia Hot Springs having a right to construct and maintain a golf course thereon ami to enclose the putll was resolved to grant a temporary grazing license at an annual rental of 10/- to C. Kongahu Survey, area 792 W. J. Morris applied for an extension of a timber culling license of 200 acres in Reefton, S.D. Approved for three* years subject to a ground rental o| £lO per annum. It was resolved Io grant Bryan ami Bowater, Ltd., a timber cutting license over 50 acres in tin* North Hast corner of Section 20 al the usual royalty rates plus a ground rental of £4 per annum. Application with respect to Section 25 declined. paniste. Every number will be sung from memory, and the usual adjuncts of the amateur music books, will be conspicuous by their absence. The first portion of the recital will consist of piano solos by Miss Zita Munson. L.T.C.L., who is making the trip from Christchurch to take part in this recited. Miss Gladys Higson will be heard in contralto solos. Mr Harold Boole. a 19-years-old basso, will make his debut. Miss Marvel Warnes will give an operatic solo. .Miss Jovce Hignett, contralto, will make her debut as a soloist. Miss Mavis Bond has been engaged as elocutionist, ami is claimed as the West Coast champion, as the result of her successes at the Greymouth and Hokitika festivals. .Music-lovers of Greymouth and district may be depended upon not to miss this recital.
