AUSTRALIAN SQUADRON Mock Battle with N.Z. Division (Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 14. Further provisional arrangements have been made for combined naval exercises to be carried out in New Zealand waters by two cruisers from I he New Zealand Division of the. Royal Navy and ships from the Royal Australian Navy. It is hoped the Australian cruisers, Canberra mid Australia-, probably accompanied by the destroyer Tattoo, will arrive off the North Cape towards the. end of August. They are expected to remain in New Zealand waters until the end of September. The Dunedin, the flagship of Commodore Burges-Watson, leaves to-mor-row on an annual Island cruise, and will return on August lath. By this limo the Diomede, which i-s undergoing re-fit at the Devonport Naval Base, will probably be recommissioned, and the Iwo cruisers will meet the Australian ships off the North Cape. A mock battle is to be held. All ships will then probably put into Russell, and a regatta, and other competitions between ships will be held. The warships are then expected to proceed to Auckland.
