GAMING HOUSES
CHINESE FINED. (P<‘r Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 13. Three Chinese charged with keeping premises as common gaming houses were to-day fined £-10 each by Mr Page, S.M., w T ho remarked that four or five Chinese w’ere before the court few weeks ago for pakapoo. The operations seemed to have reached fairly substantial proportions. He thought substantial penalties should be imposed. Three others were fined £3 each for being found in common gaming houses.
