Leading Japanese bankers and industrialists, in a letter to the “Daily Mail,'- denied dumping, but admitting that as Japanese labour costs are so low, that it will take the highest duties to exclude their goods. They express the fear that growing Anglo-Japanese competition will imperil their good relations, therefore th 0 industrialists and business men of the two countries should meet and seek some mitigation of competition, without harming the industrial or commercial interest of either country.
