PYROXLYIN EXPLOSION
Flaming Celluloid SEARS BATHERS’ BODIES. (Aum. A- N.Z Cable Assn.) (Received June 11 at 8.15 p.m.)- • NEW YORK, June 9. A message from North Arlington, New Jersey, states that nine persons were killed, and several others are believed to be fatally burned in an explosion on Friday night which wrecked the Atlantic Pyroxlyin Waste Company. Flaming celluloid from the skies showered on bathers on the beaches. A panic followed as screaming women and children had their limbs seared and lay on the beach. The noise of the explosions was heard for miles. At least six died of burns.
