Polytehnic Marathon EIGHTH VICTORY EOR FERRIS. (Aus. & N.Z Cable Assn.) LONDON, June 10. A member of the Air Force, Lieut. Sam Ferris, won the Polytechnic Marathon from Windsor to London, in two hours forty-two minutes and onefifth second. This is his eighth victory in nine years. MATTERN’S PROGRESS. IRKUTSK, June 9. TWO AIACHINES RUINED. SYDNEY, Juno 11. During an aerial p'ageant at Grafton yesterday, two aeroplanes collided on the ground when one was landing and the other was taking off. The machines wore practically ruined. A local farmer, named Henry Clark, the occupant of one aeroplane was severely injured on the head. The pilots wore uninjured. The affair caused considerable excitement.
