REEFTON NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, June 9. A worker named Benjamin lloie, employed at the Perfection coal mine, received injuries to a leg yesterday while ut work at the mine, through a fall of coal from the roof. The fall came over his shoulder and struck him on the leg. He was brought into town and Dr. Conlon attended him, the wound requiring several sriches. M r Horn is nuw couliued at his room. A heavy frost was experienced throughout the district this morning, and the ground being frozen hard. It was the hardest frost experienced so early in the month of .June for many years past. Mr Nees. Dunedin, is at present ou a visit; to Recfton, and to day visited th:- Big River Minn. A quiet, but pretty wedding wa; celebrated at the home of the bride s | arents, at Inaneahua Landing. When Drusilla. Maude second daughter of M»- and Mrs W. Wadsworth was united in bonds of Iroly matrimony, to Henry Dou'-ilas third son of Mrs am! tin* late Mr lowers of Neudorf Nelson. Past'.ir Vintz of Nelson ofliciated. The bride, who 'was given away by her father, wore n simple of ivory angel skin silk radium lace vandyked yoke trimmed with pearls. the skirt being fully Hared. With this was worn the customary veil and wreath of 'orange blossoms. She carried a bouuquet of whit.p chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. which com pletcd a very pretty toilette. She was attended by her sister as bridesmaid, who wore a frock ( of I ale pink rayon, with georgette coatee with frills mound the hip line. Her head dress consisted of pink flowers and silver leaves. Shi' carried a bompiet of pink and m-aure chrysanthemums. The bridegroom was attended by his bro (her. At the conclusion of the cere nmny the cuests were ititertained by Ihe bride’s mother who wore a wine coloured frock relieved with deep oreme. The health of the bride and bridegroom was toasted. Mr and Mrs lowers left later by car on their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a frock of dark green tweed, with a coni and hat to match.
