Thomas Briddlecombe Ewens ap pearod at the Waitara Court. Crow suffered a wound on the hand from a knife. Ewon , who is a member of the Waitara Borough Council and president of the Freezing Worker’s Union was given a good character, and was ordered to rome up for sentence if railed upon within six months. A charge of using obsonre language was dismissed. The defence was that after failure of the freezing works strike, the Union ists persecuted Ewens, who became ill and depressed.
