CONSIDERABLE COIN FOUND. (P<‘r Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 8. The sailing of the Wanganella for Sydney to-day was delayed, the police and Customs officers searching her for £l3OO worth of silver believed to be on board, in contravention of the silver export regulations. It is understood that on the last trip she took about £3OOO worth of silver away. WELLINGTON, June 8. The police and Customs official searched the Wanganella this afternoon for silver coin and found a considerable quantity. Three or four members of the crew have been detained. FOUR SAILORS ARRESTED. WELLINGTON, June 8. Just before the Wanganella was due to sail at noon to-day, fifty police some in mufti, others in uniform, with customs officers, boarded the ship and began a search for £l3OO of silver, believed to be aboard. Sailing was delayed till 4.45 p.m. About £7OO was collected, this being in the possession of several of the crew, four of whom were arrested. The money is unconnected with the reported disappearance of £BOO from Wanganui last week.
