War Time Marriage another ends in divorce. (P r pres> A>s"ciui i'-ii i WELLINGTON’. June 2. In a reserved judgment to-day Mr. Justice Macgregor granted a decree nisi in the divorce action of Gladys Williams, formerly of Wellington, and now living in England, against ('. De V. Blenheim Williams, of Wellington, labourer, also judgment for £163/10/arrrars of maintenance due under a derd of separation in respect to the two cliildren of Hie marriage. The action arose* out of a war mar rage, which proved unhappy. 11 was defended, but His Honour said he was atisfied from 11n* testimony ami demeanour of the husband at the trial, that it would not be safe for the wife to attempt to live with the husband again. ‘‘He showed me a wound in the head received during the war.” said His Honour, which still seems Io affect him. and. in my opinion, to account for. if not to excuse, his cruel (‘(-centric, (-(induct towards his wife, which was fully set out in her affidavit, and which in part, at least, is admitted in bis own evidence.' ’
