JJURSUANT to Section 2 of ‘‘The Local Authorities’ Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926,” NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Greymouth Borough Council proposes to confirm at a meeting of the said Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Mackay Street, Greymouth, at 5 p.m. on THURSDAY, the eighth day of JUNE, 1933, the following resolution which was a Special Meeting of the said held in the Council Chambers aforesaid, at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, the 25th day of May, 1933. 1. That the Greymouth Borough Council proceed to borrow and raise under the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and also, under the powers contained in the Local Authorities’ Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, and its amendments (the Order in Council in pursuance of the Local Government Loan Board Act, 1926, having been obtained authorising the Council to borrow) and in pursuance of all other Acts and powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf a special loan of £3200 required for the purpose of providing employment for unemployed workmen by duplicating the Town supply water mains.

2. That such loan be called “The Greymouth Borough Relief of Unemployment (Water Main) Loan £3200: 1932.” Thtrt the term of such loan be Thirty (30) years. 4. That the rate of interest on the said loan shall be £4 5/- per centum per annum, 5. That the security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest and a sinking fund of one pound ten shilling (£1 10/-) per centum per annum, and other charges thereon, shall be a special rate of eight hundred and thirteen five thousandths (813-5000ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Greymouth comprising the whole of the Borough of Greymouth. 6. The cost of raising the loan be paid out of the loan but not the interest or sinking fund for the first year. Dated at Greymouth, this 26th day of May. 1933 F. 11. DENTON, Town Clerk.
