Morgan’s Pictures To-night at the A’ictoria Theatre Paramount present Clive Brook and Vivienne Osborne in “Husband’s Holiday,” based on the novel “The Alarriage Bid,” recommended by the Censor as more suitable for adult audiences. It is the story of a man who loves two women—his wife the devoted mother of his two children, and another woman. A modern story dealing entertainingly with a modern problem. Excellent talkie support. To-night Alaster Finlay Gillespie has been specially engaged to appear at the Victoria Theatre in conjunction with the above talkie programme. Alaster Gillespie possesses a wonderful soprano voice which is said to be equal to Lex Macdonald, the Dunedin singer, so that Westport song lovers are in for a treat on Thursday when Finlay Gillespie sings “Who is Sylvia?” (Schubert), “I Attempt from Love’s Sickness to Fly” (from the opera “The Indian Queen” by Henry Purcell), “On Wings of Love” (Afendelssohn). “Hark, Hark the Lark” (Schubert).
